My day off Saturday, January 17, 2009

Holy hellllll
today was pretty awesome XD
Bryan and I skated from the library to Taco Bell. We ran into Rosie in her car partway, so we raced. We won =D
Mmm....steak quesadilla.....yum
after that we went to check on Michelle at Starbucks, but...she..got off early, so we just chilled out front with some coffee playing this AWESOME game.
You take two people with iPods and set em on shuffle.
Go through the songs in pairs and see which one is more awesome out of your two iPods.
They "win". Keep shuffling, that's the game. NOW GO! IT'S FUN!
Anyways, Freddie n Michelle showed up later, she tried standing on Bryan's board...ended up bruising my shin....punk....
Hung around in front of Walgreens, then we were picked up and taken back to Bryan's.
There, we skated around and tried some tricks. AND HELL YES, I CAN OLLIE NOW. WOOOOO
I've been contemplating the pros and cons to longboards and skateboards
I believed before that longboards went wayyy faster than skateboards, and although this is true downhill, I could keep up with Bryan on a mediocre skateboard while he was on his Arbor longboard. (flat ground, abc music - - - > village)
Longboards are more stable? I dunno, I needed more stabalization, but I got through all the cracks and stuff alright. A downside to going smoother and faster on a longboard is.....well...when you're suddenly stopped with an especially large crack, you FLY. >_<
Also, obviously, a skateboard is smaller. It's louder though..CRCK RCK CKKK CKKKCKKCKKC when you're riding, bleh....
OO also, going down a hill on a skateboard (we call this bombing a hill btw), you reach a terminal velocity, you can't go any faster than a certain speed. The best part is, at this point, I can still safely jump off or slow myself down. I like this. Longboards go and go and go and go, you can top out at around 50 mph down certain hills. ...Yeah that's just bad....
Anyways, yes, that was my day off.....tomorrow begins my finals cramming sessions.
Good luck on your finals everyone!
WE CAN DO IT!
2010!!! WOOOOOO
